New on ServerVerify: Host Recommendation Insights and Most Recommended Hosts

ServerVerify has always been focused on helping users evaluate hosting providers using real benchmark data. Performance matters, but benchmark scores only tell part of the story.A server can perform well while the overall customer experience still falls short. Pricing, reliability, support, network quality, and long-term consistency all influence whether someone would actually recommend their hosting provider.

To provide a more complete picture, we have added several new recommendation-based features across ServerVerify.

Host Recommendation Rates on Provider PagesProvider pages now display the percentage of benchmark users who would recommend their host.

The recommendation panel includes:

•  The provider’s current recommendation percentage 
•  The number of unique users included in the calculation 
•  A clear visual indicator that makes the information easy to find 

For example, a provider may show that 77% of benchmark users recommend its service, based on responses from 22 unique users.

Using unique users is important. A single person submitting several benchmarks for the same provider should not have an outsized influence on the result. The recommendation score is intended to represent the experiences of the provider’s broader customer base, rather than simply the total number of benchmark submissions.

This information appears directly on the provider page alongside benchmarks, customer reviews, hosting plans, coupons, and other provider information.

Recommendation Trends Over TimeThe new ServerVerify Insights page includes a chart showing how the overall host recommendation rate has changed over time.

Instead of only showing the current percentage, users can now see whether customer sentiment across the hosting industry is improving, declining, or remaining consistent.Each monthly result includes:

•  The recommendation percentage 
•  The number of users who responded 
•  The total number of benchmark responses included 

This provides useful context. A recommendation rate supported by hundreds of responses carries more weight than one based on only a small number of submissions.

Tracking the percentage over time also allows us to identify broader changes in user satisfaction as ServerVerify continues collecting more benchmark data.

Recommendation Rates by Server TypeWe have also added a comparison of recommendation rates by server type.Users can now see separate recommendation percentages for:

•  VPS and cloud hosting 
•  Dedicated servers 

The chart also includes the number of responses collected for each category.This helps illustrate how customer satisfaction may differ between hosting products. VPS customers and dedicated server customers often have different expectations, workloads, budgets, and support requirements. Separating the results provides a more useful comparison than combining every server type into a single number.

Most Recommended Hosts LeaderboardThe ServerVerify Leaderboard now includes a new Most Recommended Hosts section.This ranking highlights the providers receiving the strongest recommendation results from verified benchmark users. Each entry displays the provider’s recommendation percentage in bold green text, along with the number of users who contributed to the result.

The leaderboard is designed to recognize providers that are delivering a positive experience to a meaningful number of customers.

Recommendation percentage alone is not enough to fairly rank providers. A host with one positive response should not automatically rank above a provider with hundreds of responses and a nearly identical recommendation rate. The leaderboard therefore considers both the recommendation percentage and the number of unique users represented.This creates a more balanced view of which providers are earning the strongest support from the ServerVerify community.

More Than Performance ScoresBenchmark results remain at the center of ServerVerify, but hosting quality cannot be reduced to a single CPU, disk, or network score.

The new recommendation features add an important human element to the data.Users can now evaluate:

•  How a server performs 
•  What existing customers say in their reviews 
•  Whether benchmark users would recommend the provider 
•  How recommendation rates compare across server types 
•  Which hosts are earning the strongest customer approval 

Together, these features make it easier to distinguish between a provider that simply produces strong benchmark results and one that customers are genuinely happy to continue using.

Built From Real User ResponsesRecommendation data is collected from users as part of the benchmark submission process. As more users submit benchmarks, the recommendation insights will continue to become more representative and useful.

Providers are encouraged to visit their ServerVerify profile to review their current recommendation percentage, benchmark activity, customer reviews, and leaderboard performance.

Users can also explore the new ServerVerify Insights page to see recommendation trends and other data collected from across the hosting ecosystem.

These additions are another step toward making ServerVerify the most transparent and useful source of independent hosting performance and customer experience data.
